BAD JUICE
twisted rock’n’roll / twisted blues
David and Thomas — the older and the younger. Two brothers from Lorraine, now based in Strasbourg. One sings and drums, the other plays guitar. As teens, they’d reenact Live Killers by Queen in their bedroom. These days, they make raw, stripped-down rock’n’roll — somewhere between Memphis and the cellar.
Bad Juice was born in 2014 with a first show in a prison (true story), driven by a love for gritty garage rock and moonshine blues. After Ding-A-Dong (2016) and Stack-O-Lee (2019), produced by Matt Verta-Ray (Heavy Trash), the duo took a left turn — drawn to a more melodic, melancholic sound shaped by the strange times we live in.
The result, Amour Noir (2022), was recorded in Berlin with English songwriter and producer Gemma Ray. Lush arrangements, beatlesque keys, knife-cut guitars and ghostly harmonies wrap songs that still burn with rock’n’roll fire, but now carry a hint of noir, wit and unexpected detours.
